Kathy Gore Fuss

Kathy Gore Fuss (she/her) has lived and worked in Olympia, WA since 1980. She studied art at the University of Washington where she graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting. Her studio practice includes but is not limited to painting, printmaking, mixed media sculpture, drawing and collage. She designed and produced large floral installations during the Pandemic with the help of her community, installing them with a team of volunteers who are passionate about collaborative art projects. Kathy has taught visual arts in colleges, universities and in art centers; currently she teaches art classes in her own studio. She has been a board member for Artist Trust, served as an Olympia Arts Commissioner, and is currently the President of the South Sound Studio Tour. Kathy fervently believes that artists and the work they do is essential for a healthy and thriving cultural community.
