Our History
The original idea for the tour was born in 1998. The Olympia Arts Commission proposed an art walk-style tour of artists’ studios, giving patrons the chance to see artists’ work up close and personal. After a few more versions, the tour was reestablished by two local artists in 2019.
This all-volunteer board of directors manages the 501c3 non-profit. The board applies for grants, manages fundraising campaigns, and maintains the webpage you are reading today.
We gratefully acknowledge the Nisqually and the Coast Salish peoples on whose ancestral
homeland we gather, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make their
home here today.
